This is a modeling aid, not a kit or a part for a model. The unit with LED diodes serves for directed lighting: either of the place you are working on at the moment, or of a finished model you want to light in a display case. Good light is an underrated thing in modeling. Most faults in filling, sanding and painting show up only in sharp side lighting, when the surface casts shadows and the unevenness stands out.
LED light tends to be colder than a classic bulb and colors look different under it. So always compare shades under the same lighting in which you are going to finish the model, so that the final tone does not end up wrong for you. Also place the light so that it does not shine straight into your eyes and does not reflect off a glossy surface of the model.
For everyone who builds at a bench without enough light, for modelers working with small parts and for collectors who want to light finished models in a display case.
