The Aber 1:16 basic photo-etched detail set for the Tiger I, Ausf.E, early version adds fine metal detail of the outer armor to a large model of the heavy tank.
Responsibility details are not available.
A basic detail set in photo-etched metal from Aber in 1:16 scale for a large model of the German Tiger I, Ausf.E heavy tank in its early form. It is not a tank model but a set of fine metal parts that replace or supplement the coarser plastic elements of a base kit.
The Tiger I was a German heavy tank of the Second World War (Pz.Kpfw. VI, Sd.Kfz. 181) armed with the 8.8 cm KwK 36 gun. In the large 1:16 scale even the small things stand out that injection-molded plastic cannot capture in full delicacy. The basic set brings the main group of photo-etched parts for the outside of the machine in its early form.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp blade, form the bends on a bending tool and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue, or soft solder them. Lay down a primer for metal before painting; the metal surfaces will then take the shades and the weathering with washes and pigments that follow.
This is a photo-etched detail set, not a tank model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
