A blend of dark green lichen shades in a large bag holding 2.83 dm³. Twice the contents of the small bag in the same line.

A large bag makes sense wherever an area is being overgrown rather than a detail. One display scene with a single vehicle takes a handful of material, but as soon as a slope along a track or the edge of a wood across a whole module is involved, consumption grows faster than one expects. This item carries 2.83 dm³, that is 173 cubic inches according to the manufacturer, which is exactly twice the small bag.
Inside the bag lie several close dark shades. The differences are subtle, but they are precisely what keeps a large overgrown area from looking like a dyed sponge. The bigger the area, the more it matters: the eye notices a uniform surface at once, while it reads irregularity in color as natural. The practical consequence is that the blend is not worth mixing by tipping it into one heap and taking pieces at random, but by taking them deliberately according to where each piece is going.
The raw material is preserved, so it keeps its flexibility and does not crumble when squeezed. It can be taken out in small pieces and the rest stays in the bag with no loss of properties. Before gluing it pays to shake the material up and set the coarser pieces aside; tufts with a finer structure then go to the front of the scene and the coarse ones disappear at the back.
