Light Ochre

An acrylic paint from AMMO of Mig Jimenez, thinnable with water. It belongs to the range in which the manufacturer keeps the shades for painting figures, so alongside the flesh tones there are earth and uniform colors. Light ocher is a warm earth tone that suits figures for lightening earthy areas, gear and small accessories, and dioramas for dusty and clay surfaces.

How to work with the paint

• Shake the contents thoroughly before use, as the pigment in an acrylic settles to the bottom.
• Light earth shades tend to cover less well than dark ones, so count on several thin coats rather than a single one.
• For lightening, the paint is applied with a dry brush or by mixing it into the base tone.
• For the airbrush thin the paint with water or acrylic thinner as needed and try the ratio on a test piece.
• Do not thin it with lacquer or cellulose thinner, as that is a different chemistry.
• Wash the brushes in water right after work, as dried acrylic is hard to remove.
