A very light gray shade from the acrylic range of AMMO of Mig Jimenez, supplied as a water-thinnable acrylic in a dropper bottle. The code FS 35630 refers to the American Federal Standard color system. The leading three in it means a flat surface and the five places the shade in the blue group, which on very light grays corresponds to their cool, slightly bluish cast. It is precisely that cool undertone that sets the shade apart from neutral grays, and it is worth bearing in mind when mixing.
With very light shades the surface underneath decides. Straight onto dark plastic or onto a colored primer the paint needs more coats and may still look uneven, so it pays to lay down a light gray or white base first. Build the coats up thin and let them dry between passes, as a heavy coat of a light color tends to flood the engraving and leaves a visible texture once dry. When working with a brush, thin the paint only slightly and pull it in one direction to reduce brush marks. Bear in mind too that light surfaces will mercilessly show every imperfection in the filling, so prepare the surface carefully in advance.
For builders of aircraft models and modern vehicles with light gray schemes, and for modelers who mix their own highlights for surface modulation.
Shake before use. Work in a ventilated space, use a respirator when spraying and store the paint out of the reach of children.
