Hasegawa Line Engraver 2 Wide

An engraving tool from the Trytool modeling range of the Japanese brand Hasegawa. It serves for engraving (scribing) panel lines into the surface of plastic models - the tip bites into the plastic and, drawn along the surface, cuts a sharp groove. The Wide version creates a more pronounced and wider line than the finer variant of the same range; it suits places where the paneling is to be more distinct.

Use

• Draw the scriber along a guide or masking tape repeatedly and lightly, not in one heavy stroke.
• Deepening it gradually gives a clean, even groove with no skipping.
• Remove the burr around the engraving with fine abrasive or by polishing.
• Suitable for restoring lines lost after filling and sanding and for creating new panels.

For modelers who want to emphasize or restore the paneling on plastic kits and prefer a wider, more pronounced line. It will be appreciated above all by more advanced builders.
