Maple Leaves

Voyager Model maple leaves

This is a diorama accessory, not a kit. The set brings small maple leaves for creating fallen leaves, undergrowth and broadleaf vegetation in dioramas and vignettes. Leaves scattered on the ground or set on branches give a scene a season, depth and a natural untidiness. The manufacturer is Voyager Model, a brand known for its photo-etched and diorama accessories. Leaf accessories tend to come as fine die-cut parts that are painted and laid out.

Use and fitting

• Carefully separate the individual leaves and bend them gently as needed for a natural shape.
• Lay them out on the terrain or fix them to the branches and trunks of trees with a drop of glue.
• Layering and mixing shades will give you convincing leaf litter or undergrowth.

Painting tips

Choose the shade according to the season: a fresh green for summer, yellow, ocher and brown for fall. It is worth mixing up several tones and shuffling the leaves, so that the litter does not look uniform. A matte varnish will even the surface out.

Who the accessory is for

• For makers of dioramas and vignettes with a forest or park setting.
• For modelers who want to capture fall or broadleaf undergrowth.
• For collectors of figures and vehicles after an atmosphere for their scene.

The accessory is supplied unpainted. Paints, glue and a diorama base are not included in the package.
