What the set is for

A circle cannot be covered freehand. Tape crumples on a curve, and cutting a disc out with a knife means a different diameter and a ragged edge on every piece. Ready-made circular masks get around that problem: the shape is precise, repeatable and identical on the left and right sides of the model, so the difference between individual wheels never shows.

What the set contains

The sheet carries circular masks in a range of diameters from 4 to 7 mm. The set is listed as universal, so it is not built for one specific model and you can use it across scales and subjects. Check these details in the manufacturer's data sheet and in the instructions.

Usage tips

• place the mask before spraying, on a dry, clean and degreased surface
• press the edge down all the way around so that the paint does not creep under
• spray in thinner coats and at a right angle, not at an acute angle to the edge
• remove the mask while the paint has not dried rock hard, and the edge will stay crisp
• suitable for wheel hubs, lights, round access panels and circular markings
• leave the remaining masks on the backing sheet, as loose ones crumple and will not seat once dusty

Who it is for

It suits anyone who sprays regular circular areas and does not want to cut them out one by one, whether they build aircraft, vehicles, ships or figures. It is also useful when repainting a single wheel, where a hand-cut mask would differ from the rest of the model. The paints, the thinner and the glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
