Meeples 16x16x8mm - Red

Meeples 16x16x8mm - Red — a red player marker at the table

The meeple shape has settled in board and tabletop games as an intelligible marker of a player. The little figure can be laid on a space, on a card and on the edge of a board, and with no further explanation it says whose the place in question is. The dimension of 16 x 16 x 8 mm given in the name matches the size that game boards commonly reckon with: the meeple fits into smaller spaces as well and does not outgrow the other components on the table.

What it is suited to

• Marking ownership: who holds a space, a building or a contract is seen at first glance.
• Telling several simultaneous actions of one player apart within a single round.
• Filling in a color side that is missing from your set or has been damaged.
• Marking tasks under way that move around the board during a game.
• A uniform color set used across several games without mixing components.

Why red of all colors

Red is one of the most legible colors at the gaming table and it stands apart from light and dark spaces alike without merging into shadow. When every player holds one color for the whole game, the arguing about whose marker is lying on the board falls away and checking the state of the game is a matter of one look across the table.

Who it is for

For players of board and tabletop games who want order at the table and a quick overview of the state of a game. It finds a use with your own game sets and scenarios designed at home, where another color side needs to be added, and with organizers, where every color has its compartment and setting a game up then takes a few moments.
