Alclad II Mig Grey Green FS 14233 is a modeling paint from the synthetic enamel range — solvent-based, not a water-thinnable acrylic.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a modeling paint, not a kit or an accessory. The shade belongs to the enamel (synthetic) range of the Alclad II brand, and the manufacturer designates it as a gray-green for MiG aircraft with a reference to the FS 14233 standard. The paint is solvent-based: it is not thinned with water and does not behave like the water-thinnable acrylics many modelers are used to.
Enamel dries more slowly than acrylic and stays sensitive to the touch for longer, but it flows out better and leaves a smoother film. It is thinned with a thinner for synthetic and enamel paints, not with water. Watch two things: neither lacquer thinner nor lacquer overcoats belong under or over enamel, as they would attack or dissolve the film — look for products expressly compatible with enamels. And do not confuse this range with the metal shades of the same brand, which are lacquers and have entirely different chemistry and a different preparation of the base.
For modelers who want the particular gray-green shade the manufacturer declares and do not mind working with a solvent-based paint. It is suitable for an airbrush as well as a brush; anyone who works exclusively with water-thinnable acrylics should count on a different thinner, different cleaning and a different drying time.
A solvent-based product: flammable, work in a well-ventilated space, protect your eyes and airways, keep out of the reach of children. The volume of the package is stated on the label.
