The difference between a little group of trees and a wood does not lie in the individual piece but in the count. The moment a scene has to plant up a whole slope, the edge of a valley or a strip along a railroad line, the modeler needs ten trees and more, and buying them two or three at a time is slow work. This package answers exactly that case.
Inside are fourteen pieces measuring 7.62 to 12.7 cm, so three to five inches. The supplier presents them as the quickest way to get trees onto a scene.
With a larger count of pieces it pays to lay the growth out before anything is pushed in. It works to start from the edge and move inward, because the outline of a wood is what shows from a distance, whereas the interior stays in depth. A few pieces are worth keeping aside and adding at the end wherever empty spots appear.
The trees are finished and already in leaf. Each one has a pin under the trunk for pushing in and a base that can be taken off. With a large count it helps to drill the holes in advance so that soft terrain does not tear from repeated pushing.
Terrain and glue are not part of the delivery.
The spread inside the package is wide, so low pieces meet others half again as tall. The lowest trees belong at the edges and at the foot of a slope, the tallest in the middle of a group.
