A liquid product from the Lifecolor brand intended for muddy deposits. The word fixer in the name says what it does: the product serves to make the deposit hold on the surface and keep it from rubbing off during further handling of the model. The word gloss refers to the glossy form, which suits places where the mud should look fresh and wet, that is, in the wheel wells, on the lower areas and in places where the dirt runs down.
Mix the contents of the bottle before use and apply it with a brush or a spatula over small areas, so that the transition to the clean surface stays soft. Granular materials and pigments work into a wet layer far more easily than onto a dry surface, so have them ready in advance. Let the layer dry out properly before you work on it further. Clean the brush right after work; choose the cleaner and any thinning according to the manufacturer's directions on the packaging.
Use the gloss locally, not over the whole model. A continuous glossy area looks more like water poured over it than like a mud-covered machine; it is more believable when the gloss stays only in the lowest places and the surroundings stay matte. Also make the coat thinner than it seems at first sight to need; you can always add more. Before you start, try the procedure out on a spare part, not straight on a finished model.
The packaging of the product alone is supplied. Pigments, granular materials, paints and brushes are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
