About product

Negev Sand pigment (35 ml)

A finely ground modeling pigment in a light sandy shade. It is neither a liquid paint nor a varnish, but a loose powder meant for building up dust, deposits and dusting on finished models and dioramas. The package holds 35 ml of pigment in a glass jar.

Use

  • It is applied dry with a soft brush to undersides, running gear and horizontal surfaces.
  • It simulates the fine desert dust typical of dry and arid regions.
  • It can be fixed with a pigment fixer or with diluted thinner.
  • It combines well with other pigments and washes for a layered patina.

Who it is for

  • For modelers of military equipment interested in realistic dusting.
  • For builders of dioramas and desert scenes.
  • For more advanced weathering techniques.

It is a loose powder. Work in a well-ventilated space, do not breathe the pigment in and protect your airways.

FAQ

It is a loose modeling pigment, a powder, not a liquid paint. It serves for weathering, not for the basic painting of a model.

Pigment that has been applied can be fixed with a pigment fixer or with a lightly diluted thinner, or left loose and dry for a fine dusty effect.

The jar holds 35 ml of pigment.
