A modeling paint from the Real Colors range in an earth brown shade that matches number FS 30099 of the federal standard.
Responsibility details are not available.
An earth brown shade listed under number FS 30099. The five-digit number of the FS 595 federal standard pins the shade down unambiguously, so it can be traced years later and it does not matter what the individual brands call the shade; the first digit in it describes the degree of gloss and a three means a matte finish. The second digit places the shade in the group of brown tones, which its name confirms as well.
The manufacturer lists the Real Colors range as acrylic. Thin it with the thinner meant for this range and in the ratio the manufacturer gives on the packaging; another thinner may curdle the paint. Stir the contents thoroughly before use, as the pigment settles at the bottom during storage and unstirred paint tends to have a different tone and different coverage. Apply it in several thin coats rather than one heavy one: a thin coat preserves the fine engraving and does not clog the rivets or the panel lines.
The shade holds better and stays more even over a base coat than on bare plastic. A difference in tone between bottles can be got around by mixing enough paint for one model well in advance. Let the finished coat dry thoroughly, and only then move on to varnishing and markings.
The thinner, the varnish and the model are not part of the delivery unless stated otherwise.
