A red-brown earthy shade from the 3rd Generation acrylic line. The binder is water-thinnable, so this is not an enamel or a lacquer. The Federal Standard code given in the name helps to pair the shade with documentation or with the paints of other brands. The item belongs to the sub-line for ground combat equipment. In camouflage schemes the red-brown meets the green and the ocher, and it is precisely the way the transition between the fields is made that determines the resulting impression. A sharp edge is made with masking tape or with a stencil laid directly on the surface, a soft edge with a roll of modeling putty or with a stencil lifted a few millimeters above the surface. The finest transition can be managed by an airbrush freehand at low pressure and with heavily thinned paint. Before you start masking, let the previous coat really cure, and before sticking the tape down, peel it off and stick it again on your sleeve, so that it loses part of its tack and does not pull the paint off.
For modelers who build multicolor camouflage and want to have shades from one line with the same behavior. It will also find a use outside equipment, for example with diorama elements.
