Oxidizing Agent (AK Interactive)

This is an auxiliary modeling product, not an opaque paint. In combination with special acrylic paints that contain metal microparticles (iron, bronze), it triggers a chemical reaction and creates real oxidation on the surface: realistic rust or verdigris. The effect arises from a natural reaction with the air and comes out fully after a longer period.

Use

• First apply the special paint with metal particles to the place you want.
• Once dry, brush the oxidizing agent over it and let the reaction run its course, usually for a longer time.
• If needed, the agent can be thinned with water for a subtler, less pronounced effect.
• The result can be fine-tuned further with pigments for a richer coloring.
