The Palette Refill Kit from Hobby Zone is a consumable refill for the wet palette from the same maker. It is neither a paint nor a palette in its own right.

This is a consumable, not a paint and not a complete palette either. A wet palette works thanks to a soaked pad and a permeable paper through which moisture rises into the acrylic paint. Both of those parts wear out with use: the paper tears and the pad gradually gets clogged with pigment. The refill therefore serves to keep the palette working as it did on the first day, without having to buy the whole palette again.
First wash the palette out with lukewarm water and clear it of pigment residue, and only then put in the new pad. Saturate it with water and pour off the excess, because too wet a base thins the paint on the paper by itself. Lay the paper onto the pad without air bubbles and let it soak for a while before you start mixing. Keep any spare cut papers dry, as damp makes them stick together. For longer breaks close the palette and keep it cool; the consumables then last longer.
The refill will be of use to anyone who uses a wet palette consistently, that is above all figure painters and modelers working with a brush and thinned acrylics. The refill is meant for the palette from the same maker; with palettes from other brands check in advance that it fits the dimensions.
The palette itself, paints and brushes are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
