Paper Leaves Series - Summer 1 is paper foliage in a summer key for dioramas. A scenic material for the full, dense vegetation of the height of the season; it is not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The summer variant from the LIANG Model paper foliage range. It is neither a kit nor a finished woody plant but a scenic material for dioramas and vignettes. While the autumn and winter variants work with thinned and fallen vegetation, this one is for a scene in full season, where the greenery is to be dense and the leaves cover the branches and the terrain.
A summer scene stands or falls with density. A sparsely covered crown gives away the wire armature and devalues a whole diorama. Paper foliage solves that problem differently from loose foliage: each leaf has an area, so even a smaller amount of material covers more and the crown stays airy instead of looking like a glued-up sponge. Besides trees, the summer key suits scrub at the edge of a road, an overgrown fence, greenery growing through ruins and camouflage branches laid on a vehicle; it is there that a legible leaf shape is noticed most.
Proceed in layers and let the glue dry between them, otherwise the leaves will stick together into clumps. Coat the armature with PVA glue, dip it into the leaves, tap it off and repeat until the crown has the density you want. So that the greenery is not flat, breathe over it lightly with an airbrush once it has dried, a lighter tone from above and a darker one into the shade under the crown. A saturated uniform green is the most frequent mistake of summer dioramas, as natural vegetation always has a spread of shades. Finally fix it with matte varnish.
This is a scenic accessory, not a kit. The armature of the woody plant, glue, paints and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
