The second summer variant from the LIANG Model paper foliage range. It is neither a model nor a kit but a scenic material for dioramas and vignettes. The range offers the summer key in several variants precisely so that they can be combined, as natural vegetation never has a single shade or a single leaf shape.
The quickest way to raise the level of diorama greenery is not more material but more kinds of material. As soon as you add a second variant of foliage to a crown or to scrub, the eye stops seeing a repeating pattern and the scene begins to come across as a piece of real vegetation. It equally pays to set the layers apart: one foliage in the crown, another in the undergrowth near the ground. This variant is therefore useful on its own as well as as a complement to the first one, and it serves just as well to separate two neighboring woody plants, so that they do not look like two copies of the same tree.
Combine them directly in the dish: mix the variants before applying them, not in layers one over the other. Coat the armature or the terrain with thinned PVA glue, sprinkle the material on and tap the surplus off. If you want a transition between the sunlit and the shaded side, apply more of one variant in that area. Once it has dried, unify the whole with a very light breath of paint from the airbrush from one direction; it simulates the light falling on the vegetation. Fix it with matte varnish from a distance, as a direct close spray will shift the leaves and stick them together.
This is a scenic accessory, not a kit. The armature of the woody plant, glue, paints and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
