Paper plants, burdock from Green Stuff World. Laser-cut leaves which, once painted and shaped, look more convincing than cast plastic.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of laser-cut paper burdock leaves for creating vegetation in dioramas. Paper has one unbeatable advantage over plastic and photo-etch: it is thin. A real leaf has a thickness that in model scale comes close to zero, and that is exactly why plastic leaves always look clumsy, whereas paper ones look real in a photograph.
The leaves are taken out of the sheet, painted on both sides, shaped and glued onto a stem made of wire or straight into the terrain. Burdock is a rewarding plant for the edges of paths, for waste ground, for neglected yards and for scenes where you want to suggest that nobody is looking after the place. It combines well with taller grass and with foliage.
Paint them before taking them out of the sheet, so that the small leaves do not scatter. Use thinned acrylics or inks and paint both sides, because the underside of a leaf is always lighter. Once it has dried, dampen the leaf and shape it over a round object; paper keeps its shape once dry. Glue with a white glue that leaves no shiny marks, and at the end tone the surface gently with an airbrush.
This is material for creating vegetation. Paints, glue and wire are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
