Brown shades are one of the most used groups in modeling: they come into play on the camouflage schemes of vehicles, on dusty and earthy surfaces, on wooden parts and on figures, and they go well with other earthy tones when shading.
Shake the bottle thoroughly before use, so that pigment settled at the bottom is mixed back in; with brown shades that goes double, because a difference in mixing shows in the resulting tone. The thinner and the thinning ratio differ from line to line, so use the thinner intended for this line and follow the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging. Always try the shade and the coverage first on a piece of scrap material or on a hidden area, because brown once dry usually looks different from how it looks in the bottle. Wash and degrease the surface before painting and apply several thin coats; one heavy coat floods the fine surface relief and rounds off the edges.
The paint suits modelers who build vehicles, figures or dioramas and need a brown tone in their palette. It comes into play both on continuous areas and on small individual features, where brown is used for wood, leather or settled grime.
