Pigment gel, light sand (Sira Hobby)

A ready-made paste weathering product from a Czech maker in a light sand shade. The gel is applied straight from the container and creates fine dry dusting and light sandy deposits suited to the lightest layers of dust. It is thinnable with water and odorless, and until it has dried it can be corrected. The package contains 20 ml.

Use

• It is applied with a brush in light touches as the top light layer of dust.
• Light sand suits desert vehicles, upper surfaces and edges where the lightest dust settles.
• To let it run into seams, dampen the surface beforehand with water and a little detergent.
• Spreading it out gives a fine light dusting; the excess is picked up with a clean brush or a cotton swab.
• It works best as a final light layer over a darker base; for fineness, thin the gel with water.
