A saw scalpel with a handle and six fine saw blades from Model Craft. A tool for fine cuts where a knife falls short.
Responsibility details are not available.
A saw scalpel is a tool somewhere between a knife and a saw. Instead of a blade, a very thin saw blade is clamped into an ordinary handle, so you can cut with the feel of a scalpel but with a tooth that cuts its own groove in the material and does not skate across the surface. It suits places where a knife pushes the material rather than slicing it, that is thicker plastic, resin, wood, separating a heavy sprue gate and cutting into an assembly that is already glued. The cut leaves a very narrow kerf, so a minimum of material is removed. The set contains a handle and six fine saw blades.
The tool suits modelers who modify parts, build conversions or work with resin and printed components. It also comes into its own when cutting sections and strips, where a square cut without deforming the material is needed.
The blades are sharp and thin. Cut away from your fingers, put the tool down so that the blade does not point upwards, and store everything out of the reach of children.
