PINK SKIN – PLAYMARKER

PLAYMARKER marker pen, pink skin

A marker pen from the PLAYMARKER range in a flesh shade with a pink cast. The tip lays the paint down directly, so the brush, the palette and the mixing all fall away. That helps on figures, where the bare areas of skin are small and split into dozens of tiny spots, and on short touch-ups for which it is not worth opening a bottle.

Where the color is used

The pinkish flesh tone suits the faces, necks, ears and hands of figures whose skin should look light and well supplied with blood. On the gaming table it sets a human figure apart from characters painted in the darker or non-human flesh shades of the same range. It also comes into its own in small places where skin shows between pieces of equipment, and when repairing a scuffed face.

How to work with the marker pen

• Check first on a hidden spot how the shade looks on the surface in question.
• Build the skin up in thin layers and let the paint dry between passes.
• Wipe the tip on a paper towel before putting it away, so that paint from the model does not work into it.
• On smooth gloss clear the paint holds less well than on a matte surface.
• For thinning, cleaning the tip and any clear coating, follow the instructions from the manufacturer on the packaging.
• Store the marker pen carefully closed so that the tip does not dry out.
