A resin kit part from MAiM out of the modular tube system for building pipe runs in a diorama. This piece is a short straight pipe section. The part is compatible with ordinary plastic (styrene) tubes of the matching diameter and rounds out the long sections, bends, connectors and end caps in the range. It is not a figure or a model of equipment but a scenic accessory. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
A short section serves well for fine-tuning the length of a run between two connectors or for joining bends in a tight space. It lets you lead pipework exactly where it is needed without having to shorten a part. With the other parts of the system and ordinary plastic tubes you can put together a run tailored to your scene.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent, clean up the seam lines and bond them with super glue. Apply a primer before painting. Bring the metal out in gray, green or rust as you intend, and on the edges add chipping, traces of rust and a wash to pick out the joints and the flanges.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints, plastic tubes and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
