PLA LIGHT BLUE

AK interactive PLA Light Blue — modeling acrylic paint, 17 ml

A water-based acrylic paint from the AFV Series modeling line by the Spanish maker AK interactive. The PLA Light Blue shade is a light blue-gray, the lightest of the blue components of this group. The maker places it among the colors of the PLA Marine Corps and airborne units. The paint comes in a bottle with a volume of 17 ml and once dry it leaves a matte surface, which looks natural on scale equipment and figures alike. The abbreviation PLA in the name refers to the People's Liberation Army, whose color schemes the maker follows in this group of shades.

Use

• It is applied with a brush as well as an airbrush; for the airbrush it is thinned with water or with acrylic thinner from the same maker.
• Shake the bottle thoroughly before use, as the pigment settles at the bottom when it stands for a while.
• You will get the best coverage in two or three thin coats on a degreased base treated with a primer.
• Light shades cover less well, so on a dark base count on more thin coats or on a light primer under the paint.
• Do not thin a water-based acrylic with lacquer or enamel thinners, as the two chemistries do not go together.

Who the paint is for

For modelers of modern Chinese equipment and figures who need the light component of a digital camouflage pattern. It also finds use in lightening other blue-gray shades and in the technique of gradually brightening areas.

The paint is intended for modeling use. Keep it out of the reach of children, do not swallow it and make sure there is enough ventilation and respiratory protection when spraying. Close the bottle carefully after use and protect it from frost.
