Figures of pigeons in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit but an accessory for a scene. A pigeon is one of the most usable details in a diorama at all, because it suits a city, the countryside, a hangar roof, a gutter and a field. Its main contribution is credibility: a scene where something is happening away from the main model looks inhabited.
Birds prove their worth at the edges of a composition, which otherwise get little attention, that is, on ledges, fences, beams and paving. In an airfield scene they tend to be on a roof or by a puddle, in a city on the sidewalk around the figures. We recommend placing them irregularly and at different angles, because even spacing gives away at once that this is a model.
Rinse and degrease the figures and cut the casting remnants off with a sharp knife. A thin coat of primer is essential. A pigeon is painted from a blue-gray base, the wings get darker bars and the neck a fine cast of green and violet, which can be suggested with a filter. The beak and legs make a contrast in pink to red. The small eyes are best done with the tip of a toothpick. At the end, flatten the whole and leave only the eyes glossy.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Paints, glue and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
