A Hataka modeling paint from the Orange Line range in a light pink shade listed under the designation P.R. Pink.
Responsibility details are not available.
Light pink is one of those shades that surprise you on a model until you know the background. In aviation terminology the abbreviation P.R. reads as photographic reconnaissance, and light pink finishes are associated with British reconnaissance machines: against low cloud and against the sky at dawn and dusk, a pale pink blends in better than gray, and a reconnaissance aircraft that is not meant to fight anyone needs nothing but to stay inconspicuous. The shade is therefore established in the modeling palette, even though you will not find it on an ordinary combat machine.
Shake the bottle thoroughly before use so that the settled pigment is mixed in. Choose the thinner intended for this range; the thinning ratio is given by the manufacturer on the package. Light shades cover worse than dark ones, so lay them over a light base and build them from several thin coats, letting the surface dry between them. A heavy coat fills the engraving and will not even out the shade anyway. Wash and degrease the surface of the model beforehand.
It suits modelers who build reconnaissance aircraft in unusual finishes, and everyone who needs a pale pink tone that mixes badly from an ordinary palette. It is a paint on its own, so it is tied neither to a scale nor to a particular kit.
The paint itself is supplied. Thinner, brushes and the kit are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
