A white opaque polystyrene strip with a section of half a millimeter by nought point seven five and a length of 35 centimeters. It is one of the finest sizes in the range and is used where a detail is only to be suggested. The material matches the plastic of kits, so it bonds with ordinary cement for plastic and blends into its surroundings once painted.
A strip this fine is easily lost, so cut it over a light-colored surface and leave the offcuts where they are until you need them. Apply the cement in the smallest possible amount with a brush, onto the joint rather than onto the strip, otherwise the material will curl. When gluing around a rounded shape, wrap the strip dry first and only then run the cement underneath.
For bands around a hose, first prepare a strip longer than you need. Wrap it, secure it with a drop of cement and cut off the excess only once it has dried and holds its shape.
Work with a sharp knife on a cutting mat and keep the small offcuts out of the reach of children.
