A polystyrene angle with 3.2 mm legs, the length of the strip is 35 cm. Material for frames, brackets, bracing and lattice structures.
Responsibility details are not available.
The strip, 35 centimeters long, has the cross section of a right angle with equal legs of 3.2 mm each. A ready-made corner saves work and accuracy alike: two glued plates never hold as reliable an angle as an extruded profile, and that shows above all on long frames, where the deviation accumulates.
Converted, the leg corresponds to roughly seven and a half centimeters in 1:24, to eleven in 1:35 and to fifteen in 1:48. That is the size of a load-bearing angle of a steel structure, not of small bracing, so the strip suits crane cabins, bridge spans or workshop racking in a large scale.
A simple jig with a groove ensures a square cut; filing is then needed only to clean up the burr. Glue longer spans on a base covered with paper tape, to which solvent cement does not stick, and lift the finished piece off only once it has fully cured. A mitered joint between two angles looks better than an overlap and saves filing in a visible place. Lightly sand the whole structure before painting, so that the glossy surfaces from extrusion take the primer evenly.
The strip combines well with the other sections of the same brand: a square rod fills the inner corner, a thin strip covers a joint and a piece of tube replaces a pin or a railing post. Do not throw away offcuts longer than a centimeter, therefore, because they come in handy for fittings and small bracing.
