PS16 Metallic Blue Spray

Tamiya PS-16 Metallic Blue Spray (100 ml)

An aerosol lacquer spray from the PS range for polycarbonate (Lexan) bodies of RC models. A rich metallic blue with visible metal particles that give the finish depth and sparkle. The paint is flexible, so it does not crack on a pliable Lexan body in impacts, and it dries quickly.

Use

• It is applied from the back (inner) side of the clear polycarbonate body, so the glossy surface is protected by the plastic itself.
• Shake the metallic paint thoroughly before spraying - the metal pigment settles to the bottom, and without mixing the paint sprays unevenly.
• Spray in thin coats from a distance; the metallic effect comes out best on a smoothly cleaned and degreased body.
• Apply the metallic as one of the last coats - it is harder to overspray and to mask.

For modelers of RC cars (buggy, truggy, on-road) as well as for eye-catching accent areas on other models where a metallic gloss is wanted.

The PS range is developed for polycarbonate and Lexan. Apply it to ordinary polystyrene with care - this is lacquer chemistry that can etch thin polystyrene; test it on an offcut first. Flammable, use in a well-ventilated area away from fire.
