Tamiya PS50 Sparkling Pink Anodized Aluminum, a 100 ml spray

PS50 is an effect shade from the PS spray line of the Japanese brand Tamiya. The PS line is used for painting the polycarbonate bodies of RC models and it is applied to their inside. The can holds 100 ml.

The Anodized Aluminum group imitates the look of anodized aluminum, that is a colored metal with a strong sheen of the kind you know from anodized wheel or shock absorber parts. It is a translucent shade, so on its own it does not cover. The metal impression appears only once a reflective silver layer is added behind the color. Without it the surface stays merely tinted pink.

Use

• Degrease the inside of the body thoroughly, because fingerprints and production residues show up immediately with glossy effects.
• Effect shades forgive the fewest mistakes, so always make a test spray on an offcut first.
• Shake the can longer than you would an ordinary paint, because the particles in it settle to the bottom.
• Apply thin, even coats with a smooth movement, without stopping your hand over one spot.
• For the full metal effect add a reflective silver base once it has dried, again from the inside.

Who it is for

RC modelers who want a striking body with a metallic sheen, or accents and secondary areas in colored metal, will pick this spray. The PS line is not intended for polystyrene plastic kits.

Flammable aerosol under pressure. Spray with good ventilation or outdoors, with respiratory protection and away from open flame. Do not expose the can to heat, do not pierce it and do not throw it into a fire.
