An AMMO of Mig Jimenez modeling paint in the light tone of the red primer shade.
Responsibility details are not available.
Red primer is the reddish-brown protective coat that the plates of military vehicles carried under the top color. Modelers need it in two situations: on vehicles that never got as far as a top coat and stayed in primer, and anywhere the top color has rubbed away and the reddish-brown underneath shows through. The name of this shade combines the red primer with a light tone, so it is a lighter position of that reddish-brown rather than its full saturation.
A lighter tone comes into its own where a surface is meant to look lit up: on horizontal surfaces at the top, on edges and in the places the light falls on most. If you are building a transition from a darker to a lighter tone of the same color, the light tone goes on in thin coats in the middle of the panels and is allowed to fade out toward the edges. It serves equally well as a base under chipping, into which a darker core is then painted.
Shake the bottle thoroughly before use so that the settled pigment is stirred in evenly. Choose the thinner and the thinning ratio according to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging, that is, the thinner intended for this range. Spray in several thin coats and let the surface dry between them; one heavy coat will flood the fine relief and dries less well. Clean the brushes and the cup right after work.
The paint is supplied on its own. Thinner, brushes and a kit are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
