Resin Radioactive Water is a two-component epoxy resin from AK interactive in a 180 ml package, meant for casting a water surface with the color cast of a contaminated setting.
Responsibility details are not available.
This product from the Spanish brand AK interactive is neither a model nor a kit but a modeling material. It is a two-component epoxy resin which, once both components are mixed, is poured into a prepared hollow in a diorama and cures into a clear layer imitating a water surface. The color tuning of the Radioactive variant points toward contaminated, unhealthily colored water, that is toward the setting of postapocalyptic, industrial and accident scenes.
How a convincing water surface comes about
The base is what decides. The bottom is painted before the pour, because you will never repaint it through cured resin, and a darker center with brightened edges creates the impression of depth. The resin is poured in layers rather than all at once, and the container of the diorama has to be reliably sealed beforehand, as otherwise the material will run underneath.
For diorama builders who are dealing with a water surface in a scene, and for builders of gaming terrain. Working with a two-component resin calls for precision and patience, so we recommend it rather to modelers who already have experience with scenic materials.
Work in a well ventilated space, use gloves and avoid contact of uncured resin with the skin. Keep out of the reach of children and follow the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging.
