Be IzzI Riveter Double 0.95 mm

This rotary riveting tool from the Czech manufacturer Be IzzI serves to create realistic rows of rivets and seams on the surface of plastic models. The toothed wheel with a 0.95 mm spacing is run over the surface of the part and presses a regular row of raised or recessed rivets into it. The wheel is of hardened steel and the handle is made by 3D printing and ergonomically shaped for comfortable guiding. The 0.95 mm spacing is one of the larger values, so it suits models in larger scales and pronounced riveting.

Use

• Put the tool perpendicular to the surface and guide it along the marked line with even pressure, ideally against a ruler or a template.
• Try the technique out on an offcut or an old sprue first, so that you get the pressure and the speed right.
• A row of rivets can be made either raised (from the back of the part) or recessed (from the front), as needed.
• Sand off any burrs left after riveting with the finest abrasive paper.
