RLM 62 – AIR

RLM 62 - AK 3rd Generation Acrylics AIR (17 ml)

A water-thinnable acrylic paint in a bottle of 17 ml. It belongs to the AIR aviation range, which is made up of carefully mixed shades of particular air forces and periods. RLM 62 is a light green tone with a flat finish and high covering power. The paint sprays like a lacquer, is self-leveling and ready to go straight into an airbrush, yet it is thinned with water or with AK acrylic thinner and it is non-toxic and not flammable.

Historical use

RLM 62 Grün was one of the upper camouflage greens of the early Luftwaffe. It was used in the three-color prewar scheme together with RLM 61 and RLM 63, roughly between 1935 and 1938. It was worn by machines such as the He 51, the early Bf 109 versions (B, C, D), the He 111 and the first Ju 87.

Use

• Thinned with water or with AK acrylic thinner, cleaned with water while still wet.
• It can be sprayed in an airbrush unthinned or only slightly thinned, usually at 15 to 20 PSI.
• It is also applied with a good brush and, thanks to the self-leveling, leaves no pronounced strokes.
• Ideal over a sprayed base coat, or over a primer for maximum adhesion.

For modelers building early prewar and early war German aircraft who want a safe acrylic paint without the smell of solvents.

Shake the bottle thoroughly before use. Work in a ventilated space. It is non-toxic and not flammable, but even so keep out of the reach of children.
