Round Display Plinth 4.5 cm is a round display plinth from the maker Green Stuff World in the Hazelnut Brown shade, that is in a warm brown tone. The dimension of 4.5 cm given in the name corresponds to a smaller plinth for single figures and smaller miniatures. The plinth raises a model above the level of the table, visually separates it from its surroundings and gives finished work the look of a completed exhibit.
What decides is the proportion of the plinth to the model. Too small a plinth looks unsteady and the model visually overflows it, while too large a one makes a figure smaller. The round shape is the most universal and suits figures with no pronounced lengthwise orientation. The brown Hazelnut Brown shade is calm and does not overpower the color of the model itself, so it goes well with warm and cold palettes alike. When putting a whole display case together, it pays to keep one shape and one shade across the collection - the result then looks like a whole, not like a random line-up.
It suits painters of miniatures, collectors of figures and modelers who want to display finished work in a presentable way. In dimension it is aimed at smaller single pieces, not at large diorama scenes.
