Royal Blue is a rich darker blue, full and saturated, with no gray or green cast. The name of the shade carries no standard designation, so judge the paint by the color chart of the manufacturer and by the label; a verbal description or an image on a screen is no substitute for a chart. Expect a dark blue to look noticeably deeper on a continuous area of a model than on a paper sample. On small models it therefore pays to lighten the shade slightly, so that the surface does not stay a black silhouette with no readable shapes.
The bottle belongs to the Orange Line range from Hataka. Use the thinner intended for this range and keep the thinning ratio and the method of application according to the instructions given by the manufacturer on the packaging. Stir the paint thoroughly before work, otherwise the pigment stays settled at the bottom and the resulting tone drifts between individual coats. Apply several thin coats with a pause, because a single heavy coat fills the engraving and wipes out fine detail. Wash and degrease the surface of the model beforehand; on greasy plastic the paint does not hold.
It suits anywhere the blue is meant to stand out: on the colored areas of models, on accessories and on small details as well as on figures. The saturated shade can also be used as a base under lighter blue tones. Work in a well-ventilated space and close the bottle carefully after taking paint out, so that it does not thicken.
Thinner, brushes and airbrushes are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise. The volume of the package is given on the packaging.
