The Soviet T-28 tank from the brand MIG Productions: a model of the multi-turret tank of the 1930s in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A model of the Soviet multi-turret tank T-28. The model is in 1:72 scale, which the manufacturer's line corresponds to as well. MIG Productions is a brand long focused on cast resin accessories, figures and diorama elements, so this is a product intended rather for more experienced modelers than for beginners.
The T-28 was a Soviet medium tank developed at the beginning of the 1930s according to the then notion of a land battleship. On a wide hull it carried the main turret with a 76.2 mm gun and in front of it two smaller turrets with machine guns, which were to make it possible to deliver fire in several directions at once. The suspension with sprung road wheels was covered by side skirts. The conception of a multi-turret tank proved in practice to be a dead-end branch of development: the machine was tall, heavy and hard for a commander to control. The type was committed at the end of the 1930s and the beginning of the 1940s, and some of the vehicles went through an additional strengthening of the armor.
With cast parts, begin by washing them in warm water with detergent, so that residues of the release agent are removed. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw, not with nippers, and sand wet with protection for your airways. Cyanoacrylate serves for joining; before using it, try the placement of the parts dry. Primer is necessary, otherwise the paint will not hold on the smooth surface. The multi-turret silhouette offers large flat areas, which by themselves make a flat impression; shading the base color toward the center of the areas, a fine wash into the recesses and dust pigments on the running gear and the lower parts of the hull all help.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
