Rust Surface Primer (100 ml)

A colored undercoat primer from the water-based acrylic range from AK Interactive. It combines the function of a base coat and of a colored undercoat: it holds on plastic, resin, photo-etched parts and 3D prints and gives a rust shade. A rust base is precisely what is popular with techniques for revealing corrosion under the top color, so you get an effect out of the primer straight away.

Use

• Shake the bottle thoroughly before use.
• It is applied with an airbrush and with a brush alike; it is thinned with water or with the acrylic thinner of the same brand.
• The self-leveling composition leaves a smooth surface; once dry (within about 24 hours) it can be sanded.
• Ideal as a rust base under chipping (the hairspray technique) or under chipped paint.
