Responsibility details are not available.
A modeling paint from the Hataka brand's Orange Line range. The shade is named Sand, and the manufacturer states the number FS 33531 for it. FS is the American federal standard color chart, in which every shade has its own number. Paint manufacturers reference it so it is clear which reference the shade approximates, and so it can be compared across brands. The shade's name alone guarantees nothing — there are many sandy tones, and every brand names them its own way.
Mix the bottle thoroughly before use; the pigment settles to the bottom. Choose the thinner and mixing ratio per the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging, meaning the thinner made for this range. Light shades have weaker covering power than dark ones, so plan on several thin coats instead of one heavy one. The base plays a big role with sandy tones: the paint comes out differently on dark plastic than on light plastic, so it pays to unify the surface with a primer coat first. Wash and degrease the model beforehand.
Sand lightens over a large area and shifts toward yellow under artificial light. Spray a test sample on a spare piece of plastic, let it dry, and judge only from that. A light surface will also show every unevenness and scratch without mercy, so finish sanding and filling before spraying.
The paint alone is supplied. Thinner, primer and varnish are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
