Riveting shows in large scales and is one of the things that set a carefully built model apart from a quick build. Engraving it into the surface by hand means working with a riveting wheel, counting the spacing and, when you go wrong, sanding it down and starting again. This set offers the opposite approach: the rivets are ready-made, they have raised relief and they are transferred onto the model as a decal.
The sheet carries single rows of rivets in black. One rivet measures 0.25 mm, the spacing between them is 1.0 mm and the total length of the rows reaches 5.8 m, so it will do for extensive surfaces and for several models. The manufacturer recommends it for 1:24 scale.
This is a wet decal, not a self-adhesive film. Cut off a row of the length you need, soak it in lukewarm water, let it release from the backing and move it onto the surface of the model. Line the position up with the engraving, blot the excess water away and use a softener, so that the row settles over the edges and the pressings as well.
For builders in large scales who want consistent riveting without engraving by hand. Paints, glue and a softener are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
