Figure-rise Standard is a line of character kits built on the snap-fit system: the parts are color-separated and click together, so you can assemble the model without glue and without painting. No scale is stated for this line. The finished figure is meant for display and at the same time it gives modelers room to take it further with paint and varnish.
Son Goku is the main hero of the Dragon Ball series. The Super Saiyan 4 transformation comes from a later part of the story and differs from the other forms of the character at a glance: pronounced fur on the torso, long dark hair and a different color balance overall. For collectors it is one of the most sought after versions precisely because it will not be confused in a cabinet with the ordinary form of the character or with its other transformations.
Nip the parts off with a small margin and level the sprue gate remnant with a file or a sharp knife, so that no white burr is left on the edge. Go through the instructions before building and think the order through, because repeatedly taking snap-fit joints apart strains them. The look is considerably lifted by picking out the engraved lines with a paneliner or a thinned wash. A final coat of matte or semi-matte varnish evens out the shine of the plastic and pulls the whole model together visually. If you want to paint the whole figure, degrease the parts first and apply a thin coat of primer.
The model is supplied unassembled, with color-separated parts. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
