Sorcery Ground is one of the textures of the Wargame Terrains range by AK interactive, and according to the name the package holds 100 ml. The compound is applied straight onto the surface and once dry it holds the relief shaped into it, so a base gains a real surface rather than just an area of color.
The edge decides the final impression
With bases it holds true that it is mainly the side of the plinth that gives the work away. It therefore pays to draw the compound so that it ends a little short of the edge and to leave the edge free, or else to tape it off in advance. The narrow rim that results can then be dealt with separately and the whole thing looks finished. The composition of the surface works in a similar way: if you leave a little free space around the figure, the model does not get lost in the terrain. The most common mistake is to fill the whole area right to the edge; the result then looks cluttered and the figure disappears in it.
It is a choice for modelers who take a base as part of the work and want it finished down to the details that are not visible at first glance. It will serve a player too who needs quick and yet decent-looking plinths for a whole collection of figures.
The name is a trade designation for the theme, not a description of an exact shade. The binding details are given by the manufacturer on the packaging.
Close the container carefully after work, work in a ventilated room and keep out of the reach of children.
