Responsibility details are not available.
The Spectators set belongs to the line of scenic accessories of the American brand Woodland Scenics for HO scale (1:87). It holds figures of spectators, standing, sitting and looking on, in civilian clothing. The figures are modeled in detail and hand-painted; they are supplied finished and are only set in place.
Spectators are a universal building block of a peopled scene. They suit the grandstand of a sports ground, the railing along the track, the crowd at a parade or a fair, the site of an accident, a lookout and simply a row of people watching something. Because the figures have no activity firmly fixed, they can be used in many different scenes and added wherever a group is a few people short.
The key to a believable crowd is a shared direction of gaze and irregular spacing, because people stand in little clusters, not in a grid. Set the figures in the front rows closer to the railing and turn the ones at the back slightly and let them overlap a little. Glue the figures with a spot drop of cyanoacrylate glue; on removable modules PVA glue is sufficient. A fine spray of matte varnish evens out the gloss of the paints. Shades may differ slightly between production runs.
The figures are supplied finished and hand-painted. Glue, paints and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
