Separate the parts with nippers and trim the remainder of the sprue gate with a scalpel close to the part; sand the white stress mark and polish it over, as on richly colored plastic it is otherwise clearly visible. The ornamental thin parts and the antennas are fragile, so work with them carefully. Try the joints dry and do not overload them when posing. You will lift the look by bringing the engraved lines out with a panel line wash and by a final matte or semi-matte clear coat. If you are going to paint, apply thinly, so that the engraved lines stay readable.
The model is supplied unassembled. The parts are colored and join by snapping together; glue and paints are not included in the package and are not necessary.
