Omask Stripes 1.2 mm (135 x 90 mm) Oramask foil is a sheet of pre-cut masking strips 1.2 mm wide, in the Oramask masking foil version. A strip only has to be lifted off the sheet and stuck onto the model, so there is no cutting of straight strips from a roll.
Responsibility details are not available.
A universal masking sheet from the brand Omask with pre-cut straight strips 1.2 mm wide. The material is self-adhesive Oramask masking foil. It is not a set cut to the outline of a particular kit but a stock of strips from which you take exactly as many as you need at the time. A width of 1.2 mm is a universal compromise between a fine line and a clearly visible stripe, so it comes into its own from small scales up to large models. The line offers the same sheets in widths from 0.6 to 2.0 mm, so you can put a set together to match the scales you build in. How many strips are on the sheet and how long they are can be checked on the packaging.
Lay the strip onto a perfectly dry and smooth coat; masking should not be done over fresh paint, because it tears when the mask is lifted. Once it is on, press the edge home thoroughly, with a wooden toothpick for instance, so no paint runs under it. Spray in thin layers and preferably in several passes, since a heavy layer leaves a noticeable step at the edge. Lift the foil shortly after the paint has set, slowly and at a shallow angle away from the masked edge. On rounded areas it is better to lay the strip in shorter sections than to force it into a curve.
The package holds masking material only. Paints, varnish, the model and tools are not part of it. On a delicate coat, test the adhesion on a hidden area first.
