Ten flat strips of ABS of 0.50 x 2.00 millimeters in section and 350 millimeters long. Together 3.5 meters of material for building parts of your own.
Responsibility details are not available.
The bag holds ten flat strips of ABS. Each has a section of 0.50 x 2.00 millimeters and a length of 350 millimeters, so in all you get 3.5 meters of material. It is stock from which you make the part yourself, not a finished model nor a set for a particular kit.
The flat strip is the most versatile section a modeler can get hold of. It will serve as a stiffener, a frame, a batten, wall cladding, a floor beam or a curb in a diorama, as a stop while gluing and as a replacement for a part that has been lost or broken. A width of two millimeters corresponds in 1:35 scale to about seven centimeters in reality, so the strip will give you a plank, a flat bar or a narrow beam. ABS is tough, cuts and sands well and holds its shape.
The strip is best divided by scoring it several times with a sharp blade against a ruler and then snapping it. Sand the cut with fine abrasive paper, so that the end sits flat. Use cyanoacrylate glue or a glue meant for ABS. If you want to join it with a solvent cement for polystyrene, try the joint on an offcut first, because ABS reacts to it differently from ordinary modeling plastic. Before painting, wash the surface, degrease it and spray a primer on.
Glue, paints and tools are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
