A ten-piece set of synthetic brushes covering the usual modeling shapes. It contains two flats, five rounds from the finest point up to size 2, one angled, one dagger and one filbert.
Responsibility details are not available.
A builder who owns a single brush sooner or later finds that he is using it wrongly for everything. Every shape solves a different problem. A flat spreads paint over a level surface without streaks and holds a straight edge. A round with a point handles markings, buckles and the eyes of a figure. An angled brush runs along an edge without falling over onto the other side. The oval one, called a filbert, combines the coverage of a flat with a soft entry, so it leaves no sharp marks behind.
The set brings together ten pieces from exactly those groups. There are two flats, in sizes one and two, for small and medium surfaces. There are five rounds, forming a continuous series from a very fine point marked with three zeros, through double zero and zero, up to sizes one and two.
The remaining three cover specialized work. The angled brush serves for edging, engraved lines and transitions along edges. The dagger has a long, obliquely cut head that holds plenty of paint and still draws a thin, continuous line, which suits long lettering and outlines. The filbert in size four closes the set as a tool for soft transitions and dry-brushing.
The hair is synthetic, so it copes well with acrylic paints and frequent rinsing and does not tend to splay the way natural hair does when dipped in a more aggressive thinner. After work, wash the brushes out and draw the head back into a point, or they will settle into the shape in which they dried. Never leave a head standing bent in a jar, because that deformation can no longer be straightened out.
