Plastruct round butyrate tube 2.4 mm

An extruded round tube of butyrate (cellulose acetate butyrate) with an outside diameter of 2.4 mm and a length of 375 mm. The package contains one piece. Butyrate is flexible, easy to work and tough, and suits scratch-building and making your own parts.

Use

  • Imitating piping, tubes, railings, masts and cylindrical elements on models.
  • Building frames and details when making dioramas.
  • It is cut by scoring with a knife and snapping, and shaped with a file and sanding.
  • Butyrate is best glued with super glue or with a cement intended for butyrate and ABS.

Who it is for

For modelers and diorama builders who need precise hollow sections for faithful details.

Material for modeling work; it is neither a finished model nor a kit.

Super glue or a cement intended for butyrate and ABS is the most reliable; ordinary cement for polystyrene holds less well.

It is used to imitate piping, railings, masts and other cylindrical elements on models and dioramas.
